Child Care Aware has selected COAD as one of ten sites across the country that will join a national network of communities, states, and organizations activating Vroom.

Vroom is an initiative of the Bezos Family Foundation that is helping parents promote brain development in children birth to five years old. It provides interactive tools and resources that highlight the science behind early brain development, showing parents how they can turn activities like bath time and meal time into opportunities that build their children’s brains.

“For children to become successful adults, we need to give them opportunities to learn and grow,” said Ron Rees, Executive Director of COAD. “With Vroom, everyday moments become those opportunities.”

Vroom’s free app provides daily learning suggestions as well as a Pick Your Own option in which you chose your location and what you’re doing to find fun, brain building activities.

coad4kids launched Vroom in Perry County in the spring of this year and is very proud to be part of this groundbreaking effort.
