STEAM for Administrators: An Integrated Approach – Lawrence County

This training consists of two STEAM trainings: the prerequisite training, STEAM: An Integrated Approach to Learning and STEAM in Early Learning Programs: The Role of the Administrator.
In the first session, participants will explore an introduction to the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach and will learn the history and benefits of using STEAM-based experiences. Participants will utilize hands-on experiences and discussions in this training.
In the second session, participants will learn how administrators/directors can best support teaching staff in implementing the STEAM approach to learning. Through activities and discussion, participants will learn about the components of STEAM, strategies to encourage the maker movement with staff, and develop a plan for implementing STEAM in their programs.
