Early experiences of trauma have impact across the lifespan.  Part one of this series will explore the effect on child development and navigate responding to trauma’s influence on behavior. Part two of the series will focus on becoming trauma informed early learning professionals, diving into trauma’s impact on parents and professionals and how a trauma informed approach can create safety in the early learning setting. Part three of this series aims to help early learning settings become trauma informed in their approach to care. Not only will we explore SAMHSA’s 10 domains for assessing trauma informed practice, we will develop a plan for expanding trauma informed practice in at least one of the domains in each of our settings.
