Paper Bag Kickball Activity: School Age

Appropriate for: Toddlers, preschoolers, and schoolagers
What you’ll need: medium-sized paper bag, newspapers or shredded officepaper, markers and crayons, stapler and duct tape, the colored tape is nice.
How to Make It:

  • write or have child write name in the center of the bag
  • decorate bag any way they want to
  • tear lots of newspaper or use lots of shreds and stuff about 3/4ths full
  • mold into a round shape and fold over the top of the bag and staple shut.
  • cover stapled section with duct tape to reinforce closure. Several strips of tape around bag make it extra sturdy

How to use it: Use to play kickball outdoors or in a large indoor area. Practice kicking skills. Use walls or trees as goals, or make an obstacle course and have children kick around it. These balls provide practice kicking, throwing or batting.
